Certificates
Certificates from City Employees Credit Union are an excellent investment opportunity if you do not need immediate access to your funds and want to invest for longer periods to obtain high rates of return. Minimum deposit requirement is $2500. The Certificates pay monthly interest. This allows your interest to compound and increases your yield.
Money Market Savings
Our Money Market account is an excellent way to maximize your dividends on deposits you wish to keep more liquid than Certificates. There is no minimum balance and the dividend increases for balances kept above $25,000. Only three (3) withdrawals per calendar month are allowed from the money market accounts. An initial $500.00 deposit is required to open a money market account.
IRAs
Start planning for your retirement today by opening an IRA account at City Employees Credit Union. With outstanding rates and funds that grow tax deferred year after year, an IRA account is an important part of your long-term savings portfolio. A Traditional IRA offers tax-deferred earnings and the possibility of tax deductible contributions. A Roth IRA is funded by non-deductible contributions but gives owners the opportunity for tax-free withdrawals. New in 2002, an Education IRA enables parents and others to deposit $2000 per year to be used for educational purposes. Earnings grow tax-free if you meet the income requirements.
Club Accounts
We offer two types of club accounts, Vacation and Christmas. These accounts are designed to allow you to make deposits each month to save for vacation or Christmas. Both clubs pay a higher than market dividend. The Vacation Club pays out on March 31 and the Christmas Club pays out on September 30.
Dedicated Savings
Use savings accounts geared toward your individual goals. Dedicated savings accounts can be used for situations such as saving for your child’s education, paying your property taxes and insurance, or any other future expense.

Teach your children the value of saving! CECU wants to help our young members to understand the time value of money, and to help families and individuals plan for important expenditures in the future.
The credit union also helps to get young people started with savings accounts and as they get older their first checking account and debit/atm cards. We also have a credit starter program for when they start their career and need a way to establish credit in a very inexpensive way.
Graduating High School Seniors are allowed to apply for the annual $2000 college scholarship.
